Waiver Policy

The Journal of Radiology and Oncology (JRO) is committed to promoting equitable access to publishing opportunities. To ensure that financial constraints do not prevent researchers from disseminating their work, JRO offers Article Processing Charge (APC) waivers and discounts for eligible authors.

Eligibility for Waivers

Full or partial waivers may be granted in the following circumstances:

• Authors from low-income countries as classified by the World Bank.
• Independent researchers without institutional or funding support.
• Early-career researchers and students who demonstrate financial need.
• Special issue contributors supported by institutional or funding agreements.

Discounts

Discounts may apply for:

• Editorial Board Members actively contributing to the journal.
• Peer Reviewers who have completed timely, high-quality reviews.
• Authors submitting multiple papers within the same year.

Application Procedure

1. Authors must apply for a waiver at the time of submission.
2. A formal request should be sent to [email protected] with justification and supporting documents.
3. The waiver decision is communicated before peer review begins to ensure transparency.

Waiver Approval Criteria

• Financial need and country of origin.
• Merit and significance of the submitted research.
